LMFAO Hope They Have The Movie Awards 'Anthem'
Kid Cudi, Chemical Brothers, Figurine and College/ Electric Youth also up for Best Music at Sunday's show.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

The right song can make a normal scene in a movie one that goes down as a classic, and pairing a scene with the perfect backing tune can shed new light on a song you thought you knew. So for the MTV Movie Awards, we honor the music that met the perfect movie and made the magic happen.
Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to cast your vote and make sure your favorite takes the stage this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET to collect the Golden Popcorn.
Here's our rundown of the Best Music nominees:
College and Electric Youth's "A Real Hero," "Drive"
If "Drive" had been just a straightforward crime thriller like a synopsis might suggest, it would have amounted to nothing more than an average genre entry with a pretty face attached. Instead, director Nicolas Winding Refn infused every inch of this new cult classic with '80s nostalgia, including an electro-fueled soundtrack, led by the College/ Electric Youth collaboration "A Real Hero." The pick could seem odd at first, but as soon as it kicks in and all other sound fades away, everything just clicks.
Figurine's "Impossible," "Like Crazy"
Young lovers inevitably come to adopt songs as meaningful and important to the memory of their relationship. Appropriately, last year's "Like Crazy" featured a killer soundtrack, suitable for the impossibly cute first love. "Impossible" comes up during one of the more difficult moments in the film, when our ocean-crossed lovers are apart and old memories keep new ones from taking. It added a layer of reality and depth to a scene that felt straight out of real life.
Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness" (Steve Aoki dance remix), "Project X"
When it comes to throwing the world's greatest house party, a badass playlist lands at the top of the to-do list, right below "invite people." Just a quick glimpse at the clip proves that there's nothing quite like this Kid Cudi/ Steve Aoki jam to party till the sun comes up or the cops kick everyone out.
LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," "21 Jump Street"
Now if you're more in the mood for party music to get stabbed in the back to, LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" may be more up your alley. The song turned out to be the perfect accent to Schmidt and Jenko's first big house party as fake high-schoolers, and it showed that you shouldn't let something like a pesky knife wound ruin your rager.
The Chemical Brothers' "The Devil Is in the Details," "Hanna"
Similar to "Drive," "Hanna" uses fairy-tale motifs and a frighteningly memorable score from the Chemical Brothers to elevate what would have otherwise been a rather typical Bourne rip-off. The music adds a whole other level of danger and makes the tale of a tween-age master assassin all the more sinister and disturbing.
Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET.

Lady Gaga Wants A Fake Rolex, Thailand Wants An Apology
As Gaga brings her Born This Way Ball to Bangkok, Thailand's government is enraged over her plans to buy fake goods.
By Brendan Dempsey
Lady Gaga apparently wants to go shopping in preparation for her next concert in Bangkok — for a fake Rolex.
At least that's what she told her 24 million Twitter followers upon her arrival in Bangkok on Wednesday (May 30). "I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex."
The tweet sparked instantaneous uproar on various social media and web forums, as many local residents felt the comment was insulting, abrasive and generally damaging to the reputation of Thailand. Gaga has yet to apologize for the tweet.
I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex.
— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) May 23, 2012
The Commerce Ministry of Thailand is in a long-standing battle with piracy, and members of the government feel that this message directly undermines their efforts. An official at the ministry's Intellectual Property Department recently told Reuters that: "Lady Gaga is a representative of the U.S. and the U.S. puts pressure on smaller countries to promote the protection of intellectual property," adding that "she should tell her fans that they shouldn't use fake goods."
The controversial message has also been addressed by members of Thailand's music industry. Thai DJ Suharit Siamwalla responded by tweeting: "We are more civilized than you think," then added that he now plans to boycott Gaga's show on Friday.
It seems that Mother Monster just can't seem to stay out of trouble as her Born This Way Ball makes its way across Asia. The Thailand controversy comes almost immediately after she had to cancel a show in Indonesia, and then responded to various Islamic threats surrounding that show.
Not all fans have taken umbrage with Gaga's latest comments. Throngs of fans awaited her arrival to the hotel, and people are already camped outside Rajamangala stadium in hopes of being one of the lucky "monsters" who get to meet the pop star.

Kanye West's Custom-Built 'Cruel Summer' Cinema: Take A Look Inside!
The Cannes premiere of West's film was held inside a tented pyramid designed to create an effect of 'levitation,' according to designers.
By James Montgomery

When Kanye West premiered his "Cruel Summer" film last week at Cannes, he did so in his usual, uh, understated manner: projected on seven video screens inside a tented pyramid on the Mediterranean Sea.
It was a stylistic choice meant to represent "a post-Steve Jobs, post-Windows era ... where your mind puts the screen back together, the way you put memories together ... like the experience of life" (so said West in a speech before the premiere). But if you weren't lucky enough to attend the film's gala opening — which is to say, if you weren't Kim Kardashian or Jay-Z — those words probably don't hold much meaning to you.
But now, you can get a glimpse at what it was like to be inside that tented pyramid, as a series of photos of the venue — and the multitude of strategically placed video screens — have hit the Web.
Designed by international firm OMA, who have built eye-popping venues in cities like Beijing, Montreal and, uh, Syracuse, the "temporary pavilion" featured seven screens "of cinematic proportions," and was envisioned as "a constellation of projections that wrap around the audience."
The pyramid itself was created "to create an effect of levitation above the red carpet," and attendees "ascend[ed] into the pyramid along a continuous red carpet that widen[ed] into the 200-seat auditorium." The entire projected was site-specific collaboration between OMA, West's own DONDA collective and Cannes-based production team Ar'Scene.
"Cruel Summer," inspired by West's upcoming G.O.O.D Music compilation of the same name, stars Kid Cudi as a car thief who falls in love with a blind Arabian princess. The 30-minute film was co-directed by Alexandre Moors, who previously worked with West on his videos for "Runaway" and "N---as in Paris," and was shot entirely in Qatar in the Middle East.

The Wanted Tease 'Daring' Surprises On Next Album
Jay McGuiness tells MTV News they plan to redefine the boy band on the follow-up to 2011's Battleground.

Kanye West To Debut 'Cruel Summer' Short Film At Cannes
Mini-movie is inspired by the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album of the same name.
By Gil Kaufman

Kanye West doesn't know how to do small, so whenever the rapper unveils a new project it's almost always on the biggest platform possible. That explains why his new "short art film," "Cruel Summer," will debut on the fabulous Palm Beach in Cannes, France during the Cannes Film Festival.
The hush-hush movie, inspired by the upcoming all-star G.O.O.D. Music album of the same name, will world premiere on May 23 and remain open to the public for two days afterward. It is being screened out of competition in Cannes amid the world-famous film fest.
And, this being Kanye, the project is described as, "a fusion of short film and art installation ... an immersive '7 screen experience' for the eyes and ears unlike anything West has attempted before." Among those listed as starring in the film are comedian Aziz Ansari, Kid Cudi, Lebanese actress Razane Jammal ("Djinn") and Palestinian actor Ali Suliman ("The Kingdom"). Yeezy is listed as the producer, writer and director of the effort, based on a screenplay by Elon Rutberg, who was the associate director of the Throne's "N----s in Paris" video. The co-director is Alexandre Moors, who worked with West on "Runaway" as well as the "Paris" clip.
Kanye and Cudi were spotted filming scenes for the movie earlier this year in the middle eastern nation of Qatar, but little or no information has emerged about the subject matter or plot of the project. Expectations are high given the over-the-top look and feel of 'Ye's last mini-flick, 2010's "Runaway." Click here for ticket information for the screenings.

Kandi Burruss DISHES To Dr. Drew About Sex And "Bedroom Kandi" + Sheree Whitfield REVEALS Why She Left "RHOA"...And The STATUS Of Chateau Sheree
Kandi Burruss and her mama Joyce stopped by Dr. Drew's show to discuss her successful sex toy line. Watch their segment inside and see former "RHOA" star Sheree Whitfield clear up rumors about why she left the show and if Chateau Sheree is really NEVERland...
"RHOA" star Kandi Burruss stopped by Dr. Drew's talkshow to dish on her successful sex toy line. When asked why she created it, she said,
“I have an online talk show. We talk openly about sex and relationships. And from there, I got an idea of what people like over the last two years. I thought, ‘I want to have my own toys’. It’s an idea I thought would be fun and it has grown into something much bigger.”
Mama Joyce threw in her two cents saying the line is a great idea....especially for older women. She cautioned that older women also have to protect themselves from STDs while maintaning a healthy sex life. True...but awkward convo with moms right?
Also, today is Kandi's 36th birthday!
Watch Kandi's segment below:
In other reality tv news.....
Sheree Whitfield has opened up to VIBE about why she left "RHOA" saying, “We don’t see the editing or what’s going on until the few days before everyone else and I saw how it affected my kids and their lives seeing their parents on TV, in court fighting. It’s just not good. So I felt like I needed to step back, because at the end of the day, I am more than just what you see on TV."
While adding that Chateau Sheree is still being worked on (straight face), she said the fighting on tv with women she didn't like and the whole child-support issue was taking its toll.
She added, “Do I think African American women are portrayed in a negative light? Yes, I do. To me it’s not a race issue, it’s a gender issue.”
So what's next for Sheree? She's working with the “Lose 5 Million Pounds” campaign and has partnered with a fitness company. Oh...
Adele: March 2012 cover girl of Vogue
On her 'loud' personality: “I am quite loud and bolshie,” she says (British slang for unruly and clamorous). “I’m a big personality. I walk into a room, big and tall and loud.” Indeed. There is no doubt when Adele is in the building. The rule of thumb for protecting one’s vocal cords, she tells me, is: If people are more than an arm’s length away, you shouldn’t talk to them. “But I am like, Wah! Wah! Wah!,” she says, laughing. “It’s really bad.”
On giving up drinking last May: “Don’t like drinking anymore. I think I got it out of my system. D’yaknowhaImean?”
On her vocal troubles: “I’ve been singing properly every day since I was about fifteen or sixteen and I have never had any problems with my voice, ever. I’ve had a sore throat here and there, had a cold and sung through it, but that day it just went while I was onstage in Paris during a radio show. It was literally like someone had pulled a curtain over it.” She flew to London the next morning to see her doctor and was diagnosed with acute laryngitis. After a couple weeks’ rest, she continued her European tour, came to America, and then her voice went again in May. “That was a hemorrhage... a burst blood vessel on my vocal cord. That healed, I did a tour, and then it happened again at my best friend’s wedding on October 1.”
On getting support through her surgery from other artists: “John Mayer had it done at the same time as I did and he really helped me be chilled out about it. Roger Daltrey’s had loads of stuff done; Steven Tyler reached out; Elton John. Lots of artists have had problems with their voices, but you don’t know about it. And they are still singing incredibly well in their 50s and 60s.”
On her six Grammy nominations: “I burst into tears when I found out. And I would love, absolutely love, to win. This record is coming to an end, and that would be the final brick on it.” [gallery=821]

Lindsay Lohan's 'Glee' Cameo: Co-Star Perez Hilton Weighs In!
Celebrity-gossip blogger skirts addressing Lohan's alleged unprofessionalism while shooting this week's 'Nationals' episode.

Celebrity-gossip blogger Perez Hilton guest stars on this week's big "Nationals" episode of "Glee," but was uncharacteristically reluctant to address the rumors of fellow guest star Lindsay Lohan's alleged on-set misbehavior when MTV News caught up with him at Wango Tango in Los Angeles this weekend.
"I'm on 'Nationals,' a very important episode, and Lindsay Lohan is also on this episode," Hilton told MTV News. "And it's a nail-biter. Everybody has to watch."
When the conversation turned to allegations that Lohan was hours late to set and was difficult once she finally arrived, Hilton chose his words very carefully, turning the conversation back to himself — and in so doing, seemed to imply that Lohan was not at her professional best.
Asked about talk of Lohan's misbehavior, Hilton said, "I showed up to set early and prepared and was very happy to be there and professional, excited and appreciative for the opportunity."
Rumors of on-set trouble erupted April 25, when actress Dot-Marie Jones, who plays Coach Beiste on the Fox hit, tweeted about an unnamed person's late arrival to set, causing delays in filming. "Gonna be a long day!! Some ppl show up late and just throw a wrench in things," Jones reportedly tweeted. "Not cool! I'd rather be an hour early (I was) than 5 minutes late!" Jones' tweet has since been deleted.
Regarding Lohan's alleged tardiness, the actress' rep, Steve Honig, told E! News that there was a mixup with her call time, and said any claims of problems on the "Glee" set are "utter B.S."
"This is a classic example of people trying to bash Lindsay. She busted her ass yesterday and is back on set again today," he continued.
Like Hilton, Lohan appears as herself on the episode. The pair play judges at the national singing competition the show's choir, New Directions, participates in.

Kristen Stewart Recalls 'Insane' Nudity In 'On The Road'
'Twilight' actress tells MTV News she thinks people are being 'a little uptight' about the film's sex scenes.
By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Kristen Stewart

For "Twilight" fans who thought the sex scene in "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" were revealing, Kristen Stewart hasn't showed you anything yet. When Stewart hits the big screen again in the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac's American classic "On the Road," she'll be revealing a lot more than skimpy lingerie. The film contains quite a few sex scenes, including a threesome between Stewart and co-stars Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. Talk about risqué!
"I wasn't scared, honestly," Stewart said in reference to the love scenes. "It's kind of insane to watch now. I'm like, 'Who is that?' But I think — as every actress says when they do this is — it just felt so right. It was so within a different world and so within a different environment that I don't even really feel — I mean, I am personally connected to it, of course — but it is something outside of myself."
The film follows young drifters Dean Moriarty and his best friend Sal Paradise as the epitome of the Beat Generation. After Sal's father dies, the duo embarks on a trip across America with Dean's wife Marylou, a 16-year-old with an affinity for marijuana and sex.
The actress revealed that although her character is sexually promiscuous, the role didn't bother her. "I have kind of no qualms about it either," she said. "I think people are a little uptight."
The starlet believes she felt comfortable in part due to director Walter Salles. "I felt so safe with Walter," she revealed. "Nothing was ever, ever about taking your clothes off."
Stewart's film will debut at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival along with her boyfriend Robert Pattinson's "Cosmopolis." When asked if there was a little healthy competition between her and her "Twilight" co-star, the actress said it's definitely there even though she hasn't been able to see his film yet.
"It's such weird timing. I think if it was us or them. I think we'd take the cake," the actress joked. "I haven't seen 'Cosmopolis' yet. I'm dying to see it. The first time I get to see it is actually in Cannes."
So, whose film will be better?
"Mine," Stewart said before breaking into a laugh.
Check out everything we've got on "On the Road" and "Cosmopolis."

'Thor 2' Will Be 'Huge,' Idris Elba Promises
Actor tells MTV News his character Heimdall will be 'more involved' in the sequel.
By Kevin P. Sullivan
A movie like "The Avengers" doesn't just make $1 billion in a little less than 20 days without having a few sequels already in the pipeline. So, of course, the folks over at Marvel are already hard at work on a handful of follow-ups, including "Thor 2."
MTV News spoke with Idris Elba while he was promoting Prometheus" about reprising his role as the Asgardian gatekeeper, Heimdall, for the sequel, once again starring Chris Hemsworth in the title role. "Thor 2," which is scheduled to head into production later this year, is said to explore the other realms of the universe, outside of Asgard and Earth, so that would mean a heavier workload for Heimdall.
Though production has not officially begun, Elba has already started some prep. "I'm actually excited about it," he said. "I literally just did a costume fitting the other day."
Elba, who has only seen an outline of the story so far, said that he does anticipate a larger role for Heimdall in the sequel, but added that "Thor 2" will also be taking a closer look at the people who populate the mythical world. "Definitely Heimdall's more involved, but also, what's more involved is who the Asgardians are," he said. "I think we'll see a sense of that."
As past interviews with the cast have indicated, the scale of "Thor 2" is quite large, but Elba suggested that the focus narrows in on character in a way we haven't seen before. "It's a huge film, 'Thor 2,' but I also think it's micro in a way that you start to look at people, who they are a little bit more."
Check out everything we've got on "Marvel's The Avengers."
